MINT POLE & AERIALS  ·  BROCKVILLE, ONTARIO

Adult Programs

Move with purpose. Build real strength. Find your people.

WELCOME

This Is Not the Class You Think It Is.

Maybe you've been curious for years. Maybe a friend dragged you to one class and you couldn't stop thinking about it. Maybe you used to move — dance, gymnastics, martial arts, something — and you've been looking for a reason to feel that way again. Or maybe you're simply done with workouts that feel like punishment and you want something that actually makes you want to show up.

Whatever brought you here, you're in the right place.

At Mint Pole & Aerials in Brockville, Ontario, we've built something intentional: a studio where adult women can move freely, build genuine strength, and feel at home in their bodies — without judgment, without pressure, and without the need to perform for anyone but themselves.

Our classes are for every body and every level. The woman who has never touched a pole in her life is just as welcome as the one who's been training for five years. We meet you where you are, and we grow with you from there.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You Belong Here — Wherever You're Starting From

Our adult program was built to serve four kinds of movers. You might see yourself in one — or all four.

The Complete Beginner

You have zero experience and maybe a little apprehension. That's completely normal — and it's exactly where most of our students start. Our instructors have guided hundreds of first-timers and know how to make you feel safe, capable, and genuinely excited by the end of your very first class. No background in dance, gymnastics, or fitness is required. Just show up.

The Fitness Seeker

You're looking for something that challenges your body in ways the gym never has. Pole and aerial fitness build grip strength, core stability, upper body power, and full-body coordination faster than almost any other discipline — and it's actually fun. You'll leave class feeling stronger than when you walked in, every single time.

The Artist & Mover

You're drawn to the expressive side — the flow, the musicality, the way movement can become art. Our classes create space for that. As you progress, you'll develop your own movement vocabulary, explore choreography, and find ways to express things through your body that words can't capture. This is where the sport becomes something deeply personal.

The Returning Mover

You used to dance. You used to do gymnastics, or yoga, or something that made you feel strong and alive — and somewhere along the way, life happened. You don't need to be where you were. You just need to start where you are. We'll handle the rest.

THE WHAT

What Happens in Class?

Our adult classes are structured, progressive, and led by experienced instructors who know how to push you without overwhelming you. Every class is a full-body experience.

You can expect:

  • A thorough warm-up targeting the muscles you'll actually use

  • Technique-focused skill instruction with clear demonstrations and regressions

  • Guided practice time with hands-on coaching and individualized feedback

  • Conditioning work woven into every session — strength and flexibility built naturally

  • A cool-down to help your body recover and integrate what you've learned

No two classes are the same. Our instructors consistently introduce new skills, combinations, and creative challenges — so you're never bored, and there's always something new to work toward.

THE WHY

Why Pole & Aerial? Here's What It Actually Does.

We could list the physical benefits all day — and they're real. But the thing our students tell us about most? How it changes the way they feel about themselves.

Strength You Can See and Feel

Pole and aerial training builds upper-body, core, and grip strength faster than almost any other discipline. Within weeks, students notice real changes — not just in how they look, but in what their bodies can do. Carrying groceries, posture, energy levels — all of it shifts.

A Relationship With Your Body That Actually Feels Good

We believe movement is therapeutic. Our studio is a place to reconnect with your body on its own terms — not to punish it, not to shrink it, but to explore what it's capable of. Many of our students describe their first term as the first time in years they felt genuinely at home in their skin.

Confidence That Transfers

Every skill you land, every combination you nail after days of trying — it rewires something. Students consistently report that the confidence they build in the studio follows them into the rest of their lives. Into how they carry themselves. Into how they speak up. Into how they look in the mirror.

A Community That Actually Shows Up For You

The Mint studio is one of the most genuinely supportive spaces we've ever seen. Students cheer for each other, share tips, celebrate each other's wins, and show up for each other outside the studio too. The friendships formed here are real. That's not by accident — it's by design.

An Escape That Doesn't Feel Like One

When you're on the apparatus, you can't think about your inbox, your to-do list, or anything else. Aerial arts demands your full presence — and that focus is its own kind of therapy. Students describe class as the one hour of the week that's completely, unapologetically theirs.

It's Genuinely Fun

We know this one sounds simple. But the truth is, most people stop exercising because it stops being enjoyable. Pole and aerial are genuinely, embarrassingly fun. You will laugh. You will surprise yourself. You will want to come back.

OUR CLASSES

Find the Class That Moves You

We offer five distinct adult class streams, each with its own energy, focus, and appeal. Many of our students take more than one — a membership makes it easy to mix and match. All levels are welcome in every class unless otherwise noted.

Pole Fitness    ALL LEVELS

All Levels Welcome  ·  No Experience Required

Pole fitness is where strength meets flow. Classes are built around spins, climbs, holds, transitions, and choreography — all taught progressively, safely, and with plenty of room to work at your own pace. You'll develop upper-body and core strength, body awareness, coordination, and a kind of grace you didn't know you were capable of. Come as you are.

  • Beginner to advanced skill progressions — everyone works at their level

  • Spins, climbs, inversions, transitions, and choreography

  • Core and upper-body strength development built into every class

  • A supportive environment where trying is celebrated as much as succeeding

  • Heels optional at all times — flat foot always welcome

Aerial Hoop (Lyra)    ALL LEVELS

All Levels Welcome  ·  No Experience Required

Aerial hoop uses a suspended steel ring to explore poses, transitions, and sequences both inside and around the apparatus. It's visually stunning, physically demanding, and deeply satisfying to learn. Expect a mix of conditioning, skill-building, and creative sequencing — with options scaled to every level from first-timer to seasoned aerialist.

  • Poses, transitions, and sequences in and around the lyra

  • Builds strength, flexibility, coordination, and spatial awareness

  • Conditioning woven into every session

  • Creative sequencing and combination work as you progress

  • Suitable for beginners through advanced — all welcome

Aerial Hammock (Sling)    BEGINNER FRIENDLY

Beginner Friendly  ·  All Levels Welcome

Aerial hammock uses soft, supportive fabric to guide you through wraps, poses, inversions, and flowing sequences. It's one of the most accessible aerial disciplines for absolute beginners, while still offering extraordinary depth for experienced students. It's also remarkably therapeutic — the traction and support of the fabric decompress the spine and promote a deep sense of ease in the body.

  • Wraps, poses, inversions, and flowing sequences in soft fabric

  • Exceptionally accessible for first-time aerialists

  • Builds strength and flexibility with the support of the apparatus

  • Spinal decompression and full-body release as a natural side effect

  • Depth and challenge that grows with you over time

Fab Pole    FLOOR-BASED

All Levels  ·  Heels Optional  ·  Floor-Based

Fab Pole is a low-flow, floor-based pole class centred on sensual movement, musicality, and self-expression. This class is less about tricks and inversions, and more about connection — to the music, to your body, and to the way you move through space. It's empowering, playful, and entirely on your terms. Heels are always optional.

  • Low-flow, floor-based movement focused on expression over technique

  • Sensual, intentional movement connected to music

  • Builds body confidence, presence, and self-awareness

  • No pressure to look a certain way or move a certain way

  • Heels welcome but never required — flat foot always fine

Specialty Workshops    WORKSHOPS

Rotating Throughout the Year  ·  Various Levels

Throughout the year we offer rotating specialty workshops that go deeper into specific skills, styles, and experiences. These are the perfect complement to your regular classes — and a great way to try something new without a full commitment. Past and upcoming topics include skill-specific pole and aerial intensives, low flow, flexibility and mobility, choreography, guest instructors, and themed experiences.

  • Skill-specific pole and aerial intensives

  • Choreography and performance-focused sessions

  • Flexibility, mobility, and conditioning workshops

  • Low flow and sensual movement exploration

  • Guest instructors bringing fresh perspectives and techniques

  • Themed and seasonal experiences throughout the year

BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS

Everything You Need to Know to Show Up Ready

What to Wear

  • Form-fitting clothing that allows full freedom of movement — leggings, fitted shorts, tank tops

  • Skin contact with the apparatus matters for grip: shorts or a crop top helps for pole and lyra

  • No loose clothing, zippers, buttons, or jewelry that could catch on equipment

  • Bare feet are standard for most classes — grip socks are a great option for hammock

  • For Fab Pole: heels are always optional, never required

What to Expect

Your first class will be approachable, encouraging, and a little bit exciting. Instructors will introduce the apparatus, walk you through foundational safety, and guide you through your first skills at a pace that feels right. You will not be expected to do anything beyond your current ability. What you will be expected to do is try — and that's all.

Private Sessions

If you'd prefer to start with a private one-on-one session before joining group classes, we offer that too. Private sessions are tailored entirely to your goals, pace, and comfort level. Contact us to book.
